Impeachment: Downfall for the Democrats

Impeach Donald Trump - 2020 US Election
from USA Today

Impeachment of President Donald Trump will be the Downfall for the Democratic Party, Trump will win again. According to all the surveys Trump will be the next President of the United States, for a second term in office. The Democratic Party instead of going for the issues Americans are asking them to deal: poverty, possible recession, roads, schools, hospitals and a decent wage, they are obsess with bringing down Trump since before his presidency.

Well is good news for the Republicans. They now will unite together to defend their party, and behind the man they choose for President. Yes, there always be some nut heads to cross the party lines and get with the lefts on the other site, but they will be few and between. We have a divided country: right and left, Capitalists and Socialists, etc. That folks is good in a way.

"Beware, Democrats. Impeaching Trump will backfire" a excellent piece by writer Carlo Invernizzi-Accetti n The Guardian, Carlo said:

"from a political point of view, the legal drama that is now set to unfold will most likely harm Democrats. This is not just because there is very little chance that the Republican-controlled Senate will ultimately vote to depose the president by a wide enough margin; and if that fails to happen, the whole thing may well backfire as it did for the Republicans after their failed attempt to depose Bill Clinton by impeachment in 1998." The Guardian Article

Even the Wall Street Journal writer Michael C. Bender sad n a very clear article:

"Faced with the prospect of impeachment, President Trump and his re-election campaign expressed confidence the effort to boot him from office would give an unlikely boost to his bid for a second term.

Mr. Trump’s strategy to convert his latest controversy into a political advantage has been to take the unprecedented step of declassifying—and releasing—a document detailing a private discussion with a foreign leader, corralling Republican allies to coordinate his defense and blasting out urgent fundraising emails and text messages seeking donations as a show of support".

Later in the article Bender also said:

"Pat Cipollone, who took over as White House counsel in December, and Attorney General William Barr both supported the decision, arguing internally that it would show the president broke no laws. The two men took the lead in orchestrating the release."The WSJ Article

In about the 2020 Election writer David Siders explained:

"“Of course, I want impeachment from a moral perspective,” said Michael Ceraso, a former New Hampshire director for Pete Buttigieg’s presidential campaign. "But from a political perspective, I don’t want to spend a year talking about how Democrats tried to impeach him and couldn’t pull it off.”

Instead of health care and kitchen-table economics — the issues the party ran on in last year’s blue-wave election — the campaign will inevitably be consumed by a doomed effort to boot Trump from office, skeptics say. All when Trump will be on the ballot in a matter of months, anyway." Politico Article

As you see its no only my opinion, s everybody else's too. The Democrats are again mistaken, but Republicans will take any mistake they make.
