Israel should take East Jerusalem for good

When Israel in 1967 took control of East Jerusalem, and was in possession and control of the whole city, it should never give back its sovereignty. Arabs with their hate for Jewish people should not be trusted. The taken of East Jerusalem was a move that was never internationally recognized and the  the barrier around it constructed in 2002 to secure Israel's cities from  Palestinian suicide bombing campaign was neither.  in 2004, the International Court of Justice found the construction of the barrier inside the West Bank to be illegal.

The point is who cares what the international community says, Israel regained that land of east Jerusalem fair and square. Israel was attacked by Arab nations, not the other way around. The same fair and square apply to the Golan Highs. Jerusalem should never be a  dual capital of Israel and a future Palestine. It belongs to Israel.  In 1980, the Knesset passed the Jerusalem Law, which declared that "Jerusalem, complete and united, is the capital of Israel", it applied to both West and East Jerusalem. President Trump in 2017 recognized Jerusalem as Israel's capital, and,  moved its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Since the 1967 Arab-Israeli War, East Jerusalem has been, along with the rest of the West Bank, controlled by Israel. The Jordanians had control of it since 1949 to 1967. The area includes Jerusalem's Old City and the holiest sites of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, such as the Temple Mount, Western Wall, Al-Aqsa Mosque and Dome of the Rock, all the Christian Sites.

Where were the Palestinians and their land?

According to records the Prussian consul, said the population in 1845 in Jerusalem was 16,410, with 7,120 Jews, 5,000 Muslims, 3,390 Christians, 800 Turkish soldiers and 100 Europeans (Jerusalem: Illustrated History Atlas Martin Gilbert, Macmillan Publishing, New York, 1978, p. 37). Then from 1922 to 1948 the total population of the city rose from 52,000 to 165,000, comprised two-thirds of Jews and one-third of Arabs (Muslims and Christians) ("Chart of the population of Jerusalem". Focusonjerusalem.com). The answer: nowhere.

This week according to the New York Times "Israel Begins Tearing Down Palestinian Housing on Edge of East Jerusalem"  is says in the article: Click here

"Israel’s minister of strategic affairs and public security, Gilad Erdan, said in a statement that the government had gone ahead with the “demolition of the illegal and mostly uninhabited buildings” after an Israeli court ruled that they constituted “a severe security threat and can provide cover to suicide bombers and other terrorists hiding among civilian population.”"

The Knesset was very clear i it's declaration "Jerusalem, complete and united, is the capital of Israel", both West and East Jerusalem.
